The Animated Version of Optimus Prime

For those people who remember or have had the chance to see the transformers animated cartoons you will probably all agree that they were some of the best cartoons ever made. Saturday mornings were always met with great anticipation by kids who had been looking forward to the latest installment of a cartoon about the Autobots against the Decepticons. Can you imagine if there had been something like an Optimus Prime animated costume that you could wear for Halloween? If a decent version of it had existed then, probably a lot of kids would have worn it during Halloween.

The Beginning of Optimus Prime

Optimus Prime actually started out as a robot called Orion Pax. He had been rebuilt as the civil war on the planet Cybertron was waged. At this time he was not actually a transformer. When the Autobots’ ship crashed into earth, they ended up inside a volcano. They remained there in stasis for millions of years until an eruption of the volcano brought them out of their suspended state.

It was at this time that Optimus Prime and the other transformers were programmed with disguise modes so that they could operate on Earth. If you have a child that follows the animated version of the Transformers, they will be ecstatic if you were to get them the Child Optimus Prime animated Costume.

The 2007 movie Transformers-Revenge of the Fallen was a huge hit for a number of different reasons.  First of all, many of the characters, especially Optimus Prime, were already well known to people because of their popularity in comic books and a number of different animated series.  Like many comic book heroes that have made the leap from comic book pages to the big screen a whole new life has been breathed into the character.  This popularity would make having an Optimus Prime costume for kids one of the best ones that you could possibly get.

Spielberg at the Helm

Steven Spielberg signed on as executive producer for the Revenge of the Fallen, which almost automatically ensured its success.  With Spielberg in charge many of the previous issues that were brought up by fans were addressed; for one thing the size of Optimus Prime and other transformers when they changed from a robot to their alternate form was not the same.  You can get a smaller version of the Optimus Prime costume for your kids and they will have a blast.

Getting the Transformers on the Movie Screen

If done in comic books and simple animation, it is not particularly difficult to render images of a truck transforming into a robot.  It is a totally different story when you want to make a Blockbuster movie out of it.  The incredible detail demanded by Director Michael Bay called for the robots to have completely realistic parts and that the transformation was as believable as possible.

The same goes for Halloween costumes; the more realistic they are the better.  You can get an Optimus Prime 3-D costume for your kids with distressed armor just like the real thing and your child will feel like they have just been in battle with Megatron.

Getting some Transformers into Your Corner of the Universe

Kids loved the movie and when they see characters on the big screen they often want to emulate them.  Get your kids an Optimus Prime classic child costume and you can let their imagination run wild.  Do not be too surprised if they wear it for a few weeks after Halloween when they are playing with their friends in the backyard.

The Kids should not be the Only Ones Having Fun

If you get costumes for your kids and you are feeling a little left out, you do not have to.  There are adult Optimus Prime costumes that you can get that will let you feel like you are ready to battle with the Decepticons.  They come with the mask, shoes and gloves to give a complete look, and you might just feel like role-playing with the kids when you throw one on.  Think of how much fun it would be to answer the door in one of these; kids and adults alike will know the costume right away due to the popularity of the movie.

If you are trying to think of an awesome Halloween costume that will absolutely be the most noticeable wherever you take your child, having an Optimus Prime movie costume would be better than just about anything else you could dream up.  So, transform and roll out and be the defender of the universe for a night!
